We like to spend our girls' day there .... Food and drinks are always delicious and you can sit comfortably there too .... Many of the staff are also very friendly .... Highly recommended ... ??

You can have breakfast here late. Large selection and beautiful outdoor spaces in summer. Perfect for meeting people for delicious food and drinks, no matter what time of day. Good cocktails!

Great food

A restaurant in the heart of Magdeburg ... belongs to a permanent address, as it is very central and can score with a large outdoor area in summer and winter. The wait staff are friendly, if not the fastest. Cocktails are very tasty and the price is right! I also had a serving of sweet potato fries, they were really good! We sat on the upper floor, where it was very noisy and almost unbearably warm.

We ended our team evening here, which is not really easy given the current situation. The staff accompanied us perfectly through the evening. It wasn't easy for the waitress who was responsible for us, but she got through it really well. I would have loved to give you a picture of the burger, unfortunately I was hungry? Except that the bacon was a little too cooked, it was very tasty?.

Has it ever been better, maybe due to Corona? Offer has waned

Cool place!

It's cozy here when you hit the right corner. The service is nice and attentive, but could be quicker. Orders are left on the counter for a while before they reach the guest.

I can only recommend the restaurant! The chairs are very comfortable and I think the distance between the seats is extremely decent. There you don't get the feeling of having dinner like fish in a can; I think my husband and I have already ordered the entire menu up and down. The food was delivered very quickly. Very brisk and friendly service. I think all the staff did a great job there.

Great breakfast buffet, there is something delicious for everyone. Nice service. Good service. Very cozy ambience. We'll definitely come by again.

Positively surprised. Actually, I'm not a fan of such chains and never wanted to go to Alex because it's not my food. However, I was then very pleasantly surprised how nice everything was arranged and how super fast it went even though it was full. Very nice waitress.

Very nice friendly staff, very attentive. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The portions are very large, hardly manageable, despite being very hungry. Cutlery and glasses were also clean. The cleanliness in the women's toilets was poor, so one star was deducted.

So in my eyes the 2 stars deserve the service staff ... and not all of them! You shouldn't call the Indian food you offer that in my opinion! It just didn't taste good! I also felt it was a little cheek that, according to the menu, bread should be included, but there were really only two small 2cm strips of the bread!

Prices are good! Sitting outside in summer is great, because of the view ... Only the chairs could be cleaner. Brush it off or something so that the bird droppings go down!

We went here for lunch and were served very friendly and personally. Both food and drinks came very quickly. Our various dishes were fresh and tasted delicious. The open interior has an interesting design and is still cozy, everything was clean and tidy. Thank you, we'd love to come back.

Our pre-anniversary dinner. We went to Alex Essen again and, like our first visit, it was just cool. Condition was friendly and kind. Prices performance is normal as usual. It was nice that it was still open at 9:30 p.m.

Very unfriendly service (male, long-term employee). There were two of us during the week. We had to wait a long time for a waitress to speak to us, even though at least 3 people passed us. The first question was then, did you order. No we didn't. Then the answer came promptly, then there is nothing I can do for you. We stood there very confused and were very shocked, especially since some guests were paying. We were a little annoyed about what the waitress heard and the only final word was, well, you don't have to eat here either. We left and won't be going back to the alex anytime soon. This is not our first time at alex and we are used to the chaos and the long waiting times, but we have never received such a saying. Apparently, despite the coronavirus, there is no need for guests. Too bad.

I just love the ALEX! Already because of the ambience ... Despite that it was full, we were allowed to wait a moment and enjoy our evening at the ALEX. Staff very friendly, nice and funny. Food as always awesome. I can only recommend the ALEX.

The service was quick and very friendly. We asked if everything was okay. Immediately responded to my daughter's wishes. We don't have to wait long for drinking and eating either. Always happy at any time of day (we love your breakfast buffet) keep it up! ??

It was easy to find, quiet, and the outside area was clean. We were there for Sunday brunch. We decided to sit outside because of the nice weather ... that was a mistake, because after the first meal was on the table, the wasps came in flocks and it was impossible to sit there. Especially since there was a plate of honey on the fish behind us for a long time. A paradise for the hard-working animals. Bad for people. It was positive that when I asked we could immediately switch to a table inside. The brunch selection was normal. Nothing special or extraordinary. But it was all fresh and tasty. Except for the watermelon which was not good. Service made a slightly overwhelmed impression.

Nice, cosy place. Food was great so was the service, ambience was okay, outdoor seating is near a fountain so great for relaxing summer evenings. Is good for meals, snacks or just drinks.

Rotten meat (Rib Eye) on a plate. (Reply to owner's reply: yes. I first checked with my partner who confirmed the 'special' taste, "off" as we would say. Then I made a remark to one of the waitresses, and even proposed that she would have a taste, which she refused and mumbled something about vegetarian. I ate a bit more and came to the conclusion that approx half had and the other half of the rib-eye didn't have the 'off' taste. When asked at the end (by another waitress) if everything had been fine and I said no, she said "that I should have complained" !!!!

Very nice place to enjoy a small snack and beer at. Lots of outside seating for hot summer days, but also nice views through glass walls from the inside. It can't seem to decide whether it wants to be a fancy restaurant or a cozy cafe, but you can make that decision for yourself. The food is okay, the beer is good, and the prices are adequate.

If you visit Magdeburg in winter time, you may not see much people outside. Alex is one of the most popular cafes in the city, where you can see some people even in winter. Has good location, like the Alex cafes in other cities all over Germany. Alex Cheeseburger 7,40 € • 0,3lt beer 2,90€ • glass of wine starting from 3,50€

Good location and roomy venue. Service could be improved, although this opinion is only based on a couple of visits. Just what you want if you are looking for a standard chain-restaurant menu (OK burgers and the like) . The flammkuchen is good.

Very nice restaurant... Not particularly expensive, but make very nice dessert, pasta and burgers... The ambience is also quite nice as is the wait staff...

It's a really relaxex place. Has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly. The prices are really low for the quality you'll get, because the quality is amazingly good. The place looks amazing. It's cozy and stylish at the same time.
